I cannot express to you guys how hard everyone has worked on that house, especially my mother and father.  My mom hand tiled the entire bathroom, hand textured and painted the walls, did all the tiling around the windows, picked out all the marble for the counter tops, and countless other things.  My father took every single day he had off work to go up there and work, from working on the deck, the siding, the roof, stairs, drywall, almost anything that was done on that house he had a large hand in.   My brother in law who is a contractor did so much, he built the frame of the deck, the siding, electrical, and so many things I can’t even think of.  My sister helped him with most of those things and helped us all with everything else.  I myself as well as my friends did various jobs such as the deck, roofing the workshop, doing the siding, laying cement slabs, etc.

The reason this is such a big deal is that due to the nature of the property, and given the house wasn’t quite to code, we did not have insurance at the time of the fire.  This is very tragic for us due to the fact that everything we have worked for for the past decade (at least) was for this house, on this property.  My loving brother in law Ryan and my sister Lauren have done so much since this has happened I can’t even imagine.  Immediately when they found out from the fire department they started driving up there, and after that they drove all the way to southern California to get Ryan’s companies trailer that they use when they are on worksites.  I have seen how much people who care about you can do, and it really means a lot to me.
